PM Modi bows to Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary

The birth anniversary of BJP icon and the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee is being celebrated today. He was born on 6th of July 1901 in Kolkata. He was a prominent Indian politician, barrister and academician and served as the Minister for Industry and Supply in Jawaharlal Nehru's Cabinet.     

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has bowed to Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary today. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, his lofty ideals motivate millions across the nation. He said, Dr. Mookerjee devoted his life towards India’s unity and progress and  also distinguished himself as a remarkable scholar and intellectual.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has paid tributes to Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary today. In a tweet, Mr Javadekar said that Dr. Mookerjee, a nationalist, devoted his life for the unity and integrity of India.
