BHUBANESWAR : Odisha reports 10, 982 new cases of corona in last 24 hours,according to the Information and Public Relations Department of the state. With this, the total number of corona cases in the state has increased to 5 lakh, 65, 648. So far 4 lakh, 6, 133 patients have been recovered in the state while the number of active cases in the state stood at 98, 230.
According to the information given, out of these 10, 982 new cases, 6,149 are from quarantine while 4, 833 have been infected through local contact. The people found infected today are from a total of 30 districts. Of these, the highest number of 1 , 539 corona infections have been reported from Khordha district.
539 new infections have been found from Angul district and 303 from Baleshwar district. 431 infected people have been identified from Bargarh district, while 231 infected people from Bhadrak district and 426 infected people from Balangir district. 180 from Buddhists, 885 from Cuttack district have been identified as corona infected.
Similarly, 127 people found positive from Deogarh district and 189 from Dhenkanal district. 111 infected people have been identified from Gajapati district, 177 from Ganjam district and 232 from Jagatsinghpur district. Jajpur district 349 corona infected have been identified. 380 infected people have been identified from Jharsuguda district. 370 infected people have been found from Kalahandi district while 134 new infected people have been found from Kandhamal district. 141 new corona infections have been found from Kendrapada district, 253 from Kendujhar and 1 thousand 539 from Khordha district.
195 from Koraput district, 71 from Malkangiri, 239 from Mayurbhanj, 335 from Navrangpur, while 192 from Nayagarh district and 378 from Nuapada district have been identified. 398 from Puri district, while 212 corona infections have been identified from Raigad district. Similarly, 454 new cases have come to light from Sambalpur district, 215 from Sonpur district and 964 from Sundergarh district. 332 new corona infections have been identified in the state pool.
